Feather Nails- Halloween Costume Mani

Hi Y'all!  Today I have feather manis to show you, and this is the first time I've ever done these (literally, I practiced once on one nail first and that's it lol).  I got the idea from this post at Syl and Sam.  This post will include mine and my friends manis, mine turquoise and her's red.  We are both dressing as Native American Indians for Halloween and these are to go with our costumes.

Halloween Skittle Mani

 Happy (almost) Halloween Y'all! Today I have my Halloween themed mani.  I consider this a skittle mani because each nail is different.  There's patchwork/stitches, spiderwebs, ruffles, and skeletons OHMY!

Wonder Beauty Products SuperChic Lacquer Moonshine Merlot

Today I have Wonder Beauty Products SuperChic Lacquer "Moonshine Merlot".  This is described on the Wonder Beauty page as "Super glistening burgundy wine crelly-chrome base embellished with bronze dust, burnt orange and iridescent glitter effects".  I would add that it also has gold glitters, in addition to the bronze. 

I layered one coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Save the Date and 2 coats SuperChic Lacquer Moonshine Merlot.  The formula and glitter payoff was great, opaque in 2-3 coats but I chose to layer it for a quicker mani and to waste less of the good stuff.  This is a perfect fall color, the glitters reminds me of falling leaves or bonfire embers.

Influenster MamaVoxBox- Dr. Scholl's For Her Comfort Insoles

Hi Y'all!
Today I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you about another product I received complimentary from Influenster in my #MamaVoxBox, Dr. Scholl's For Her Comfort Inserts.

As soon as I pulled these out, my first thought was "YES, I've been needing these for my boots!".  My second thought was "NO, these are going to be way too small!", which was proved wrong.

China Glaze Autumn Nights

Happy Fall Y'all!
Today I have 2 polishes from the China Glaze Autumn Nights Fall 2013 Collection.

The formula and coverage was wonderful with both polishes and the colors are fantastic.  CG Gossip Over Gimlets is a very opaque silver foil with tiny gold flakes that you can barely see, but they add a nice warm tone to the silver.  CG Rendezvous With You is a very unique dark warm purple foil, I don't think I've seen this color before. 

This is 2 coats of CG Rendezvous With You and tips are one coat CG Gossip Over Gimlets.  Both of these are foil finish shimmers and they are gorgeous!

Breast Cancer Awareness Nails

Hi Y'all! Today I have my pink Friday nails because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 

This is one coat LA Colors Light Metallic Pink, 1-2 coats of China Glaze Material Girl. and the accent nail is China Glaze Holo Infra-Red, the ribbon is a mix of LA Colors Baby Pink and a little silver to get the color right, and then CG Material Girl for the outline. All are topped in 2 coats Gelous and one coat Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.

Birthday Ombre

Hi Y'all! This is the mani I did for my 25th birthday at the beginning of September :)

For this ombre I used Maybelline Silver Aluminum, Pure Ice Flirt Alert, Orly Rock It and then topped it with China Glaze Fairy Dust.

For the accent nail, it's a base of Orly Rock It, and the design is done in Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and Pure Ice Flirt Alert, topped with CG Fairy Dust (crack).

Influenster MamaVoxBox Review- Annie's Mac & Cheese Microwavable Cups

Hi y'all! I haven't been posting a lot lately due to personal issues but this week I received my MamaVoxBox from Influenster and wanted to share :)

The product I'm reviewing today is Annie's Mac & Cheese Microwavable Cups! I had the White Cheddar one and it was awesome.

Duri Night Before Christmas

Today's mani was actually done before a funeral, because I needed something more appropriate than neon ombre

This is 2 coats Duri Night Before Christmas and an accent of Zoya Storm.

Sweetheart Ombre

Another ombre post! Yes, I'm officially obsessed since I figured it out :)  I think this color combination would be great for Valentine's Day.

This is China Glaze White on White, CG Flip Flop Fantasy & CG Pool Party, topped with the usual CG Fairy Dust.

Super holo glittery goodness for y'all today. This is OPI My Private Jet with an accent of OPI Extravagance, all topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust for extra sparkles!

Mossy Oak Camo French Tips

Hi y'all, today I have a mani I did for my awesome early birthday present my brother got me this weekend, tickets to the Miranda Lambert concert :)


This is one coat each of China Glaze Liquid Leather (black), and the accent is Ulta Sun of a Gun.  Then I (painstakingly) applied the water decals I ordered on ebay after trimming them to fit and look good, and topped with clear coat.

The only issue I have had (other than being a pain in the butt to apply) is the tips wouldn't really wrap with the decals so I'm fighting to keep my free edge clear coated because I feel like the decals will peel off.  I'll update on wear when I remove it :)

Summer Hauls

I've been on a undeclared no-buy lately while we are trying to save money so I haven't had much to show for haul pictures.  I've recently gotten some new polishes through blog sales and Amazon so I'm going to show you all the new polishes since June!

First is OPI DS Extravagance, China Glaze Skyscraper & China Glaze CG in the City.

Peacock Ombre

Another ombre this week (I really love that I've gotten the hang of this technique).  This time I used a base of China Glaze White on White, then sponged on CG Def Defying (green), CG Flying Dragon (purple), and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away (blue).  This is topped with a coat of CG Fairy Dust and SH Instadri Topcoat. 

Influenster Review- Dasani Drops

Hi y'all, today I want to share something I received in my last VoxBox; Dasani Drops!  These things are amazing, the flavor is great and the bottles are convenient, plus my 18 month old LOVES them!  We call them squirts and I let him pick his flavor, then we "squirt" in his sippy cup 3 times.  It's great for keeping him hydrated out in the sun because he will usually chug the cup of water without setting it down!


This product gets a 10/10 for me, my family loves them and so do I!

China Glaze Chasing The Sun Ombre Kit

     Hey y'all, hope everyone had a great week!  Today I am showing y'all a *perfect* summer mani :)  This is an ombre I did with the China Glaze Chasing The Sun Ombre Kit, from Sally's.  I LOVE this kits because even if you don't like ombre, (which I had never been able to get right before these kits) you are still getting discounted polish! It's a win-win for me because now I love doing ombres too.  Also, since these are neon colors they dry matte & super fast, like by the time i did all 5 fingers the first finger was dry.  This kit also came with CG White on White but I just used it as my base since it tends to help neons pop a bit more and I wanted just neons in my ombre.

Mint Mani For Talia Joy

Talia Joy  was a thirteen year old girl who was battling two types of cancer, neuroblastoma and preleukemia. She was a very talented make up and nail artist as well.  She has appeared on the Ellen show and was also made an honorary CoverGirl.  She was an amazing inspiration to many people and tragically, she passed away Tuesday.

Her last picture on instagram was a mint green mani so Nail Polish Wars had the great idea for everyone to post their mint manis in memory of Talia.  This is a great idea, wonderful cause and everyone is invited to participate!

I used 2 coats of China Glaze For Audrey, topped with 2 coats CG Fairy Dust.  My accent nail is one coat Pure Ice Silver Mercedes with 2 coats Love My Nails Milky Way.

Indoor with flash picture shows color best, but still not as green as in person.  Not sure why all my pictures leaned more blue.

Finger Paints Colorful Collage

This is one coat Pure Ice Silver Mercedes, with 2 coats Finger Paints Colorful Collage.  The accent nail is China Glaze Spontaneous, then CG Grape Pop, then CG Fairy dust.  The pictures on this aren't great because I didn't have time to take them until we were at a friend's house so the lighting was bad, sorry!

Also, apparently I'm pretty obsessed with Finger Paints Colorful Collage, this is the 3rd time I've worn it since I bought it less than 2 months ago.

OPI DS Extravagance

I have a new favorite in my collection today. I got this Monday and painted my nails as soon as I opened the box and I'm SO glad I did!  It's such an amazing color, its a dark magenta holo polish and I'm obsessed with it :)
